O good looking one,
by what logic can existence
verily come out of non-existence?

in the beginning all this was Existence,

A very important sutra from the Chandogya Upanishad, in which the Rishi explains to his disciple the logic of the Advaita Vedanta philosophy. Something cannot come out of nothing, since the universe exists now, and is finite, there must have been something that existed before the universe, something that is Infinite.
